It is a single piece--the two tubes are connected by a continuous panel of ReadyflexTM material. This prevents the tubes from rubbing each other in use and making distracting noises, and it makes the stethoscope much more compact. ReadyflexTM tubing is extremely flexible, far more flexible than any other tubing we know, and makes the stethoscope much easier to put in your pocket or bag. It is high-density, far more dense than other tubings we have seen, for superior sound reflection and higher sensitivity. It is made of a material that is age-resistant. Rubber and latex will crack with age while High Tech ReadyflexTM will not. In fact, our stock that is 20 years old hasn't changed detectably in all that time. This stuff is immortal.
