Foil wrapped carbon steel gamma sterilized -- Blades are packed 100 in a box, and cases contain 10 boxes. The difference between the composition of carbon steel and stainless steel is that carbon steel is an alloy of about 99.5% iron, 5% carbon - so almost pure iron, but stainless steel is about 2 parts iron for 1 part chromium. Carbon steel is generally harder and stronger but less corrosion-resistant. $15.20 for just one box of 100 also available by clicking here. This fits #3 handle. Other sizes available: 10, 12, 15 (these fit size 3 handles), 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 (size 4).
The handles that fit the size 11 blade are available here (click to be redirected or right click and open in new window).
These blades are produced utilizing a fully automated production technique. The computerized technology and quality control system assures uniform cutting edges and a perfect fit on scalpel handles. Individually wrapped in foil and hermetically sealed.
This may be in stock even if it tells you the available quantity is 0. This is because the boxes of 100 are listed one at a time as well (click here) and so are simply not counted here so they aren't double-counted. For instance, if there are 10 boxes of 100 in stock, it should not be listed to indicate a case of 1000 and 10 cases of 100 are both available together for 2000 total, yet either one can be ordered. It may be ok even if it tells you insufficient stock, and if it really is insufficient, we just won't charge your card the full amount or will provide a refund. If there are 8 or 9 boxes of 100, we'll give you the case price prorated for the fractional amount available. One way to determine how many boxes of 100 are available is to add them to your shopping cart and see at what point it gives you an "insufficient stock" warning.
