The metal weight on our Queen's Square and Rabiner/Babinski Hammers is 1-1/4" across, and the tension from the elasticity of the bumper which normally has a diameter of 1 inch on the inside being stretched over the head with a diameter of 1-1/4 inches is what holds it snugly in place.
